Drop off point at bottom of beauregard lift, pass needed. If out of season drop off at Croix-Fry and uphill ride to Beauregard plateau.

Make sure your saddle is low and you are hanging off the back as you start the descent, warming up with a couple of jumps, followed by number of high speed banking turns and some further well placed big air jumps. The route then takes you through forest where you can take a number of routes depending on how brave you are feeling, this bit is very twisty, full of tree roots and challenging. It gets very muddy here if the sun hasn’t dried out the ground, so watch your slides. This opens up to a shallower slope but a more undulating run. Then back into the trees to a point where you cross a rough road where you can get your breath back, check your breaks and steel yourself for the 2nd half.

The next stage takes you over the first small bridge and back into the forest with a couple of tricky turns before you hit the main suspension bridge, 20m in length but flanked by netting to stop you dropping into the gorge below. Back into the trees for a bit which then opens up to some superb sweeping banks. Back into the forest, and an here it’s an idea to hit the brakes slightly for the next big turn which is guarded by netting to stop you plunging over the edge of another ravine. You then come upon the last section which is is in open fields and gives a chance to get your speed up for some good banking turns and more jumps to get big air if you dare! You then arrive back at the bottom of the lift for another go!

The route is well marked so you don’t have to stop and check your map every five minutes. Crash mats protect you from impacting on the trees, and stopping places have been set alongside the route to catch your breath or let others past.
