| This spacious chalet is superbly positioned on the hillside facing the main peaks of the Aravis mountains. A 3 minute minibus ride will take you to the La Balme cable car from which you can access the high altitude skiing areas of La Balme (2400m) and Aiguille (2322m). The nursery slopes of Bossonet and the main La Clusaz ski area of the Cret de Merle are also only a few minutes drive away. FREE in-resort transport is provided by our minibus, or the ski bus stop is within a few minutes walk and takes you to and from the town centre, the telecabine at La Balme, or Lac du Confin (famous for it's cross country skiing and good lakeside restaurants). This stop is erved by three bus routes A, B and C which run every 15 minutes from the town centre. On Fiday and Staurday evenings in the winter season they run until 11.30 at night. | ||

| To Drive: Once you arrive in La Clusaz (drive straight on at the first three large roundabouts towards Lac du Confin, then straight over a small round by the Bossonet ski lifts. You then take the next left turn by the tennis courts on the Route de Plattuy sign posted for La Rochette. Follow this road for about 1km as it snakes up the mountain. You will then reach the La Rochette bus stop, and almost imediately on your left is a turning for the Impasse de Rhodos (there is a small sign for the chalet here). Follow this to the end and you will reach Fan La Bise. | ![]() |

Primarily a french resort, La
Clusaz has maintained it's charm and friendly feel. Weekly markets
still take place in the the market square, and herds of cows are often
driven through the centre in spring and autumn, on their migratory route
to and from the mountains. La Clusaz is well equipped for visitors, offering
an abundance of shops, local speciality food shops and lively french bars.
There is a good choice of restaurants most of which offer the local savoyard
dishes such as Fondue and Raclette.
The nearby town of Le Grand Bornand, only 15 minutes away in the minibus or by ski-bus, and provides an opportunity to discover more pistes in the winter and varied walking and mountain biking trails in the winter. A typical french town, it is well worth a visit just for the 'cow art' alone. |
