Included in the price of a catered stay are breakfasts, afternoon tea & cakes and evening meals with wine.

As a speciality of the chalet we often make home-made breads to go with our meals. These include garlic foccacia, rosemary & sultana bread, italian sage bread and Daves famous plaited loaf. Of course we do have french bread as well - sometimes!

In the past we have catered successfully for those with specific dietary needs such as vegetarians and those with an intolence for wheat, oranges, eggs, garlic, etc. We pride ourselves on the fact that all guests with specific dietary requirements have enjoyed their meals without the any anxiety over the ingredients or any ill effects they may cause. Like our wicked flourless chocolate cake which melts in the mouth and gives a treat to those who avoid eating flour!

Wednesday is your hosts night off. So on this evening we can recommend some excellent restaurants and make bookings if required.

Highlighted below is a brief selection from our winter menu. Our summer menu includes some lighter meals and delicious salads, with a weekly BBQ on the balcony.

Breakfast: One hot dish is always on offer.
Cereals, fruit, yoghurts, hot dish of the day, toast, teas coffees and fruit juices

Afternoon tea:
Cake, teas, fresh coffee, squash for the kids

Savoyard special evening meal: (also available for our self catered guests from the mobile catering service)
Raclette with Pier hotplate - (raclette cheese, marinated chicken, pork, beef to sizzle on the stones) and a variety of veg, hot potatoes and salad. A traditional savoyard centered on the local raclette cheese, for all to enjoy as you cook what you want.

Breakfast is usually from 7.30-9am, afternoon tea from 4pm and evening meal at 8pm. If you have booked as a group the meal times are flexible - as long as the group agrees!

For our self catered guests we offer an 'advance shopping' service prior to your arrival, just contact us with your shopping list. We also provide a mobile catering service - offering regional specialities, such as tartiflette, raclette and fondue evenings, where we supply a 3 course traditional meal (similar to above), contact us for a menu and price list.

We have had some great feedback about all the meals we have cooked here at the chalet. We have tried to devise a menu which appeals to most whilst also incorporating traditional local dishes wherever possible, to give you a true taste of the Savoyard region. We aim to buy our ingredients locally and support the nearby farms by purchasing locally produced cheeses, eggs and honey whenever possible.
