Chalet Sophia nestles at the bottom of the Cret du Loup (1864m), within 5 minutes walking distance of a two man chair lift (Combe de Juments), which takes you to the Aiguille (2322m) and two cable cars which take you to Etale (2484m). All these lifts allow high altitude access to the skiing pistes in the winter and some superb walking and mountain bike trails in the summer. The Transval cable car provides access to Etale and the long green 'Envers' piste which takes you into La Clusaz town centre and to the Beauregard cable car (1690m). And if you don't want to ski down, the ski bus stops within a minutes walk and takes you into the town centre for the shops or lower slopes of La Clusaz, St Jean de Sixt or Le Grand Bornand.

The chalets relaxing lounge (with open log fire) and big squishy sofas invites you to chill out after a hard day, whilst board games, videos, and TV are available to keep the kids occupied or improve your French! The south-west facing balconies on the ground floor and second floor offer stunning views of the Etale mountain and Beauregard plateau and provide a perfect spot to relax and catch the afternoon sun. Decking on the South side of the chalet is an ideal position for mid-morning sun worshipping, and is superb for lounging and book reading on long hot summer days.

The chalet kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher, fridge, 4 ring hob and oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, kitchen gadgets and enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for 14 guests. A washing machine, freezer and two hot water tanks are situated in the cave on the lower ground floor.

Chalet Sophia sleeps up to 14* guests in a combination of room sizes to suit your needs. The accommodation is on three levels with a bathroom and WC on each. The lower ground floor offers a twin bedroom and a bunk room with separate bathroom and WC. A laundry and freezer room is also located on this floor. There is one double room on the ground floor with a separate bathroom and WC. The lounge, dining room and kitchen are also situated on this floor. The first floor offers three twin rooms two of which can be made into triple rooms with *fold-out beds.

Return transfers can also be arranged from Geneva airport from £40-£60pp (depending on your group size). Linen and towels are not included but can be hired for£10 per set. Rented on a self clean basis - end ofstay cleaning available for £75.

Ground floor houses one twin room with an adjoing bathroom and WC next to the bathroom. The Lower ground floor offers a twin room and bunk room with adjoing bathroom. The second floor houses three twin bedrooms. Two of these rooms can take an extra bed (fold up) to make two triple rooms. A shower room with WC is also on this floor. To Drive: a small map can be printed out. Once you arrive in La Clusaz (drive straight across the first two roundabouts and right at the third), head for the Col des Aravis and Chalet Sophia is about 1km up this road down a right road called 'Pistes du Soleil'. Chalet Sophia is the 5th chalet (117) on the left down this small road. If you have reached the turn off for Manigod and at the Hotel Gotty you have gone 300m too far and need to turn back.
